Indianapolis-based V3 Companies installs Pat Kennedy as president and CEO in leadership transition
Leadership change takes effect in January 2026
V3 Companies has named Pat Kennedy, P.E., as its president and chief executive officer, a leadership change that became effective Jan. 13, 2026. Kennedy succeeds Louis “Lou” Gallucci, P.E., who had served as the firm’s president and CEO since Jan. 1, 2021.
The company has described Kennedy as its third CEO since V3’s founding in 1983. The board selected him as Gallucci’s successor in an announcement made in August 2025, with the transition finalized at the start of 2026.

V3 is an employee-owned, multi-disciplinary engineering and consulting firm with operations that include civil engineering, environmental services, land surveying, planning, landscape architecture, natural resources and contracting. The company traces its origins to 1983 and has operated as an employee-owned company for decades.
In central Indiana, V3 lists its Indianapolis regional office on North Capitol Avenue and also maintains offices in Martinsville and Mishawaka. The firm expanded its footprint south of Indianapolis with the opening of a Martinsville office in December 2022, initially focused on civil engineering and surveying services, with plans to broaden offerings as local needs develop.
Kennedy’s background and recent role inside the firm
Kennedy joined V3 early in his career, beginning as an intern on a survey crew. He later worked on real estate development projects in the Chicago area after earning a civil engineering degree from the University of Illinois. Over time, he moved through multiple leadership roles, including leading the company’s Illinois region and most recently serving as chief strategy officer.
V3 has credited Kennedy with helping drive growth across new regions, service lines and markets. As CEO, he assumes responsibility for overseeing the firm’s strategic direction, operational performance and continued expansion across its office network.
Gallucci’s tenure and continuity in operations
Gallucci became V3’s second president and CEO in January 2021 after joining the company in 2003. His career includes transportation and facilities project experience and business development leadership within the architecture, engineering and construction sector. Under his leadership, V3 continued to emphasize public-sector work, transportation-related services and its employee-ownership model.
