Fountain Square Drainage Project Triggers Shelby Street Closure

Commuters navigating the Fountain Square area this morning, Wednesday, February 4, 2026, must adjust their routes as the Shelby Street drainage and utility relocation project enters a major construction phase. As of this week, Shelby Street is fully closed to both vehicles and cyclists between Morris Street and Prospect Street. This closure includes the total shutdown of the Morris and Shelby intersection, creating a significant disruption for those traveling through the neighborhood.

• Northbound and southbound vehicular traffic is currently being detoured to Keystone Avenue via Prospect and Raymond streets.
