Traffic and Infrastructure Notice: I-465 Construction and Lane Restrictions

The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) and the Indianapolis Department of Public Works (DPW) report significant traffic restrictions today due to ongoing bridge and roadway rehabilitation. Motorists should anticipate the following:

• I-465 Westbound: Two left lanes are scheduled for closure between Ditch Road and US 421 starting at 10:00 p.m. for bridge construction work. These restrictions are expected to remain in place through Thursday morning.
• I-65/I-70 South Split: The ramp from Northbound I-65 to Westbound I-70 remains reduced to a single lane. This restriction is part of a long-term safety improvement project slated for completion in late 2026.

While the conference concludes today, attendees and local safety officers are reminded that updated workplace safety posters and compliance materials for the 2026 calendar year are now available through the state’s labor department.
