A national PBS production returns to Indianapolis for an all-day appraisal event

PBS’s long-running appraisal series “Antiques Roadshow” is scheduled to film in Indianapolis on Monday, June 1, 2026, as part of production for the program’s 31st broadcast season. The show’s Indianapolis visit is set for the Newfields campus, positioning the city as one of three U.S. stops on the 2026 production tour.

The Indianapolis filming is designed as an in-person appraisal event where ticketed guests can bring personal items—ranging from antiques and fine art to collectibles—for on-camera evaluation by credentialed specialists. Organizers have said each ticketed guest may bring two items for verbal appraisal.

How tickets work: free admission, advance selection required

Admission to the event is free, but attendance requires tickets obtained in advance through a sweepstakes-based process. The ticketing model is intended to manage crowd size and production logistics for a single-day shoot.

  • General sweepstakes entry opened January 12, 2026, and is scheduled to close April 6, 2026 (late night Pacific Time).
  • A separate, limited social-media ticket opportunity is scheduled to close February 12, 2026 (late night Pacific Time).
  • Tickets are issued electronically, have no cash value, and are not permitted to be sold or transferred.

What filming means for viewers: episodes expected in 2027

The Indianapolis event is being filmed for Season 31, with three one-hour episodes produced per tour city. The Season 31 episodes are planned to air on PBS in 2027, reflecting the show’s typical production timeline in which summer tour content is edited and scheduled for later broadcast.

“Antiques Roadshow” is produced by GBH for PBS under license from the BBC format. The program is among PBS’s most-watched ongoing primetime series and is built around on-site appraisals that combine item histories, owner stories, and market-context valuations.

Indianapolis in context: a city with prior ‘Roadshow’ history

Indianapolis has appeared in the series previously, including episodes that featured locally connected items such as Indianapolis 500 memorabilia. The 2026 stop continues a pattern of selecting regionally significant venues that can support large-scale public attendance while accommodating filming, security, and item-handling needs.

Event date: Monday, June 1, 2026. Location: Newfields campus, Indianapolis.

Tour organizers have also identified Tucson, Arizona (May 19, 2026) and Mumford, New York, in the Rochester area (June 17, 2026) as the other two 2026 production-tour stops.
